The challenge of this design was to rebrand the DePaul University program called Alumni Sharing Knowledge (ASK). Initially, the program's marketing material was targeted towards alumni (older audience) versus students (younger audience). After many year of using the old material, ASK acquired an abundance of alumni members, but no students were participating due to lack of interest in the previous marketing materials.
I approached this challenge as an overall rebranding for the program. The design goal was to create a professional, yet engaging design that would attracted students to participate in the program.
First, I brainstormed with the director and determined what emotions they wanted to be evoked while viewing the design. I created a branding guideline where I used the preexisting colors of ASK, red and blue, and applied them to a minimalistic design.
After applying the new design to the program, ASK saw a substantial increase in student participants. Students on-campus have become more aware of the services of ASK due to the rebranding of the program.
