This is a snapshot of the multiple email campaigns I redesigned for Knotty Tie. The company currently does not have a set brand guide, so I took this project as an opportunity to begin establishing an overall constant brand for Knotty Tie. I began by creating three design directions and presented the looks. After the colors, fonts and overall imagery was selected, I began the redesign process. Originally, the emails Knotty Tie was using were very basic and wordy. There were not many images and presented too much information at once. In modern emails, people like to skim text, look at nice pictures and understand what the main message is without having to read all the text. I eliminated long paragraphs but still kept the key points by adding buttons that bring the user to the websites information pages, where the adding text lives, instead of cramming all the text into the email. This allowed for me to add images that add visual stimulations and kept the user interested.
After the launch of the new emails, Knotty Tie saw a more positive response to the emails and less confusion from the clients.
